Is UTORRENT Illegal, and can you get caught?
There is this torrent website called UTORRENT, and i can download most everything, even HALO 2, right onto my computer. Is this illegal to do? I have not tried this website out, but i want to make sure if it is illegal. If it is, can you get caught? And is the website itself safe? (virus, spyware, etc.)

no it is not illegal to have or run…but downloading copyrighted material with it is. and utorrent’s site is clean…but i think you typed something other then what you meant….you can or can not get dirty files from torrents….generally if your downloading the newest linux distro via torrent your not gonna get infected, but if your downloading cracked software ect ect be careful it may or may not be infected, i rarely run into it and when i do avast! aborts the connection and i can delete the file….
as far as getting caught goes…just don’t download 30gigs of media in a week and you probably won’t get caught….but unless you know how to monitor your firewall ports and do reverse IP monitoring…and a bunch of other crazy stuff you can’t even began to tell if someone is tracking your IP
