While online my computer suddenly showed a msg saying it was scanning my computer for viruses?
While I was online the screen suddenly showed a box that started to “scan” my computer for viruses. I tried to click Cancel or the X to close, but it kept saying I needed to download an antivirus software, not allowing me to close anything. Finally I had to do the Ctrl Alt Delete to end that page.
Is my computer now infected with spyware or virus? What can I do about it? Please help.
It is cyber security – a rogue anti-spyware probably.
If these messages continue bothering you, you should get a real spyware remover.
Malwarebytes anti-malware, superantispyware, spyware doctor are good choices .
If they do not reapear, you are not infected.
